Amanda Jura – NP
Amanda is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Bradley University with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner Track out of Peoria, Illinois. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Platt College of Nursing in Colorado.
As a nurse, Amanda has spent her time focusing on her assessment skills. She has worked for many subspecialties in her vast years as a nurse including Nephrology, Critical and Emergency Care, Case Management, Cardiology, Surgical, and House Supervisory. The first position she started in healthcare was as a dialysis technician and working with those patients made her become a nurse.
Amanda believes passionately in Nephrology, especially preventative measures for patients and holistic approaches to care. Her passion combined with her history in Nephrology gives her the ability to understand the whole patient and see their individual needs. She believes each patient has a unique healthcare journey and she is excited to help in the prevention of the progressive disease challenges they all face.
On her days off she enjoys her family time with her husband and her three children. She loves to swim, sing, play tennis, weight train, hike, and most especially travel.
